Ingalls Rink Open Skate

The 2025-2026 Ingalls Rink Open Skate Season begins on September 23rd. Passes will go on sale on September 22nd. 

Ingalls Rink is open to the community for Open Skate Sessions. 

Fees:

Yale Community: $10/session
(Yale Students, Yale Faculty/Staff, YNHH Employees,  Yale Retirees, Yale Alumni, and PWG Household Members ages 18 years of age and older.)

Non-Yale Community: $15/session

2025-2026 Season

Dates & Times:

Times: 12pm - 2pm

  • Doors open at 11:45am to change into your skates. Ice will be available at 12pm. 
  • You will be asked to vacate the ice by 1:45pm and exit the facility at 2pm. 
     

Dates:

  • September: 23rd, 25th, 30th
  • October: 2nd, 7th, 9th, 14th, 21st, 23rd, 28th, 30th
  • November: 4th, 6th, 11th, 18th, 20th
  • December: 2nd
  • January: 13th, 20th, 22nd, 27th, 29th
  • February: 3rd, 10th, 12th, 17th, 24th, 26th
  • March: 3rd

How to purchase a Session Pass?
  • Sessions Passes are only sold online. Sessions Passes are not sold at Ingalls Rink. 
  • Online passes will go on sale on September 22nd.
  • To purchase a Session Pass, you will need a MyRec account.
  • If you do not have a MyRec account, please make an appointment with PWG Membership Services.
  • Once you have a MyRec account, you can purchase a Session Pass online or in-person via PWG Membership Services.

Can I purchase a Session Pass for someone else?

No, Session Passes must be purchased by the participant redeeming the pass. 

This includes dependents. Only participants 18 years of age and above may purchase a Session Pass. 

How far in advance can I purchase a Session Pass?

Session Passes expire three (3) days from the date of purchase. Refunds are not provided for no-show or cancellations. 

In the event a scheduled session is canceled by Yale Athletics, refunds will be provided for that session. 

How do I access Ingalls Rink?

Ingalls Rink is located at 73 Sachem Street, New Haven, CT.

All participants will access the facility via the main entrance. 

Where can I park?  There is no designated parking for Ingalls Rink. There are metered parking lots and street parking located adjacent to the facility.
Are skates and safety equipment provided? No, skates are not provided. Participants need to supply their own skating and safety equipment.
Can I play hockey during open skate? No, there is no lunchtime hockey scheduled for the 2024-2025 season. Sticks, pucks, and goals will not be permitted on the ice during Open Skate Sessions. 
Can I access the locker room? No, there is no locker room access. Participants may use the bleachers to change into their skates. Restrooms are available on-site.
